The process
How the KetamineHubs program is structured from start to finish.
How does the KetamineHubs process work?
The process has four stages: intake and eligibility review, preparation, guided sessions, and follow-up integration. You begin by completing an intake form and scheduling a clinical consultation. A licensed clinician reviews your history and determines whether treatment is appropriate. If eligible, you proceed to preparation, then sessions, then follow-up — each stage with defined guidance and clinician involvement.
How long does the full program take?
The intake and eligibility review typically takes one to two weeks depending on scheduling. A standard six-session treatment program runs over several weeks, with session frequency and timing determined by your clinician. Integration and follow-up continue after each session throughout the program.
What happens if I need to pause between sessions?
Pausing is possible and should be discussed with your clinician. Significant gaps between sessions may require a brief reassessment before continuing. Your clinician will advise based on your clinical situation and program progress.
Can I do the process entirely remotely?
No. KetamineHubs is currently focused on supervised care at our Clinton, MD center. Some intake and follow-up steps may occur remotely, but treatment sessions are at our facility.
How is supervision handled?
Sessions are supervised by licensed clinical staff at our Clinton, MD center. At-home care is planned as a future pathway and is not the current primary model.
Eligibility
Who may qualify and how the clinical review works.
Who determines whether I am eligible?
A licensed clinician makes the eligibility determination after reviewing your intake information, medical history, current medications, and psychiatric situation. There is no algorithm or automated quiz — a clinician reviews each case individually.
What conditions may disqualify me?
Certain medical conditions, active psychosis, uncontrolled cardiovascular conditions, specific medication interactions, and other clinical factors may make ketamine therapy unsafe or inappropriate. The clinician reviews each case and will explain clearly if a contraindication is found.
What age is required to participate?
KetamineHubs is for adults aged 18 and over only. Age is verified during the intake process. Care for minors is not provided.
Is treatment available in my state?
Availability depends on state-level regulations. Your state is confirmed during the intake process. If treatment is not available in your state, the clinician will let you know clearly and promptly.
Can I re-apply after being found ineligible?
Yes. If your circumstances have changed — a medication has been adjusted, a prior contraindication has resolved, or your support environment has improved — you can begin a new intake. The clinician will review your current situation, not just your prior record.
Safety
What makes treatment safe — and what it requires from you.
What are the main risks of ketamine therapy?
Temporary dissociation, altered perception, nausea, dizziness, and elevated blood pressure are the most common effects. In rare cases, adverse psychological responses can occur. These are managed through clinical screening, dosing protocols, the clinical supervision requirement, and post-session clinician review.
Is supervision required?
Yes, without exception. Sessions are supervised at our Clinton, MD center. At-home pathways are not the primary model at this time.
Can I drive after a session?
No. You must not drive or operate any vehicle for at least 24 hours following a session. Arrange transportation in advance and do not drive for at least 24 hours after treatment.
What should I do in a medical emergency during a session?
In a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Notify the care team after emergency services are contacted, and your clinician will conduct a post-incident review.
What happens to my program if I have an adverse reaction?
Your clinician will review the incident before any further sessions proceed. Depending on the nature and severity of the reaction, your clinician may adjust your program, pause it, or recommend discontinuation. The program does not continue automatically after a reported adverse event.
Pricing
Costs, insurance, and payment questions.
Does insurance cover ketamine therapy?
Most health insurance plans do not cover ketamine therapy directly. Some plans may offer partial reimbursement for the clinical consultation component. We can provide documentation to support a reimbursement submission where applicable.
What does the intake consultation cost?
The intake consultation — which covers the full clinical eligibility review — is $150. This is due at the time of booking. The consultation fee applies regardless of whether you are found eligible to proceed.
How much does the treatment program cost?
The standard six-session treatment program is $2,400. This includes all sessions, preparation guidance, integration prompts, and clinician follow-up check-ins. Maintenance sessions for existing patients are $450 per session.
When do I pay for the treatment program?
Program fees are confirmed and collected after eligibility is determined and before any sessions begin. You will know exactly what you are paying before making any commitment to proceed.
Are payment plans available?
Payment arrangements for the treatment program can be discussed on a case-by-case basis. Contact the care team after your consultation to explore what options may apply to your situation.
